We are a team of dedicated clinical pharmacists trained in adult travel medicine and are committed to patients wellness during travel. An expert travel health consultant will come to your site to provide pre-travel vaccinations, medications and other over the counter travel related supplies individualized to the destination of interest and your medical history.


We provide pre-travel health services to groups of clients traveling abroad from Washington State. TravelRx is dedicated to traveler’s health. The focus is on disease prevention, safety and convenience.

Travel Medicine

Many Travelers are unaware of the harmful risks of exposure to vaccine preventable diseases and other tropical infectious diseases in developing countries that can cause serious illnesses.

Counseling on country specific details including consulate information and travel medication/vaccination regimens, and administration of the following vaccines:

IMG_1331aVidya Nair, Pharm.D., is the founder/CEO of an innovative pharmacy business called TravelRx, dedicated towards provision of concierge travel medicine services. She serves as an Emergency Dept. Pharmacist for a large healthcare system in South Sound. In addition to her present position she is involved on a state level as an advocate for increasing pharmacist’s participation in disaster response by spearheading the Pharmacists Response Network Initiative with Washington State Pharmacy Association and the state Dept. of Health. She also serves as a board member The Olympia Free Clinic, and is actively engaged in global health work in Haiti and Guatemala.   She is a proud member of the Junior League of Olympia and American Pharmacists Association.

Vidya worked as a pharmacy technician at a major community pharmacy in
Georgia when Hurricane Katrina hit the southeastern United States.

Pharmacy resident collaboration with clinical pharmacists in Haiti

Pharmacists and pharmacy residents worked with Haitian colleagues to
improve caregiver competencies with their patients.

HIV medication therapy management services

Vidya and colleagues presented a rationale and a proposed structure to
support pharmacist-delivered medication therapy management (MTM) for
human immunodeficiency virus (HIV ) disease and to outline challenges to
implementing and sustaining the service.

Apparent risk of predation by dragonfly naiads

Vidya and her research team tested tadpole growth factors under
predatory conditions.
